Policies
I understand that tutoring is a significant commitment for families, both in terms of time and financial investment. I deeply appreciate the trust so many families place in me to support their children’s learning, and I strive to ensure that every client receives the maximum value from my services. These policies are designed to provide transparency and foster respectful communication. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions about rates, policies, or any other concerns.
SCHEDULING, PAYMENT, AND CANCELLATION POLICIES
Scheduling: Tutoring sessions are typically scheduled for one hour each, and a few minutes are left at the end of each session to transition and check in briefly with parents. In certain circumstances, longer sessions may be appropriate or necessary. Tutoring appointment days and times stay consistent from week to week.
Planning Time and Materials Fees: Additional hours for planning time and materials fees may be applied in certain situations. All charges will be discussed and clarified ahead of time.
Discounts: I am pleased to offer a 10% discount on tutoring sessions for clients who prepay monthly. Clients who select this option are contacted in advance about each month’s schedule so that we can address planned absences. Monthly invoices reflecting the discount are sent and the full monthly payment is due by the first of each month. Late payments may incur an additional fee. No refunds or credits are available for client cancellations once the monthly schedule is finalized.
Payments: Monthly prepay is due by the first of each month. Should clients opt not to prepay, payment is requested on the last date of service each week. I accept cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, and ClassWallet (ESA+ Funds.)
Late Cancellations: I will assume that your child is available for their regular tutoring schedule unless you contact me directly. All clients are contacted each month to plan schedules for the following month. For pay-as-you-go clients, cancellations with less than a week’s (7 calendar days) notice may be subject to a fee of up to 50% of the session cost. Same day cancellations may be charged the full session fee. Prepay clients do not receive refunds or credits for missed sessions.
If your needs or circumstances change and you wish to discontinue working with me, please provide me with notice of at least one month so that I can offer your spot to someone on my wait-list. Notice of less than a month may be subject to a 50% fee for the following month of scheduled services.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICIES
Please let me know as soon as possible if your child will need to miss a session due to illness.
I kindly ask that students with a fever or contagious conditions remain home until they are fully recovered. Additionally, if a student is unwell and unable to focus or engage in learning, it is best for them to rest at home, even if they are not feverish or contagious. Adherence to these policies helps maintain a safe, healthy, and positive tutoring environment.
Upon request, I am happy to provide practice resources for home use. Virtual sessions may also be an option.
In the case of inclement weather, please let me know as soon as possible if conditions prohibit traveling to your appointment. Upon request, I am happy to provide resources for practice at home. Virtual sessions may also be available.
My behavior policy is available upon request. Please note that if a student's behavior continually creates an unsafe environment, we may need to pause tutoring services for health, safety, and/or liability reasons.
DROP OFF/PICKUP POLICIES
During individual tutoring sessions, parents may either wait in the lobby area (WiFi and work space are available!) or drop off their children and return to pick them up.
If you will be dropping your child off and picking them up, please note that I am unable to assist, care for, or supervise (directly or indirectly) students outside of their scheduled time slots. A child may not be left in the suite, lobby, or outside the building unattended.... no matter how old, trustworthy, or independent the child may be.
The following policies apply to drop offs and pickups:
Please help your child in the bathroom before you leave, if appropriate.
Please do not drop your child off more than a couple of minutes early for his/her appointment.
Please keep your cell phone with you (and the ringer turned on.)
Please return about 10 minutes before our session is scheduled to end.
A late pickup fee of $15 plus $1 per minute may be assessed for pickups after our scheduled end time, and will be measured according to my cell phone clock.
ADDITIONAL POLICIES
Most individual sessions will take place in the classroom of the Vineyard Church of Holly Springs. All Kids Can, LLC is a separate entity from Vineyard Church and not affiliated with Vineyard Church other than renting the space.
If I come to your home for tutoring sessions, please note that I will be completely focused on working with my student, and am not able to supervise additional children or any pets.
For tutoring sessions with multiple students, additional charges apply.
Virtual sessions are available for an additional fee.
